Beauty: Review Pupa China Doll Collection

Info generali sulla collezione: Ispirata all’eleganza e alla preziosità dell’oriente, la China Doll collection di Pupa contiene 4 ombretti wet & dry, quattro matite Multiplay, un blush, un illuminante Pearly Edition, quattro nuove nuance di Pupa Volume e sei nuovi smalti Lasting Color.

Primo impatto: Ho amato da subito la collezione sia per il packaging, interessante l’uso del viola ma soprattutto dell’effetto a specchio, sia per le ispirazioni su cui si basa. Sono stata immediatamente conquistata dal blush, dall’illuminante e dagli smalti. Leggermente meno degli ombretti per le colorazioni non molto ricercate.

Considerazioni personali: Il mio voto è 8. Perfetta per le amanti delle tinte naturali, tutti i prodotti hanno una buona qualità e pigmentazione. Ottimi gli smalti, dalle colorazioni superbe, splendido il blush, buoni gli ombretti, interessante l’illuminante.

General info about the collection: Inspired from the East’s elegance and preciousness, the China Doll collection by Pupa contains 4 wet & dry eyeshadows, 4 Multiplay eyeliners, a blush, a Pearly Edition highlighter, 4 new shades of the Pupa Volume and 6 new Lasting Color nail polishes.

First impression: I immediately fell in love with this collection, both for the packaging – the use of purple and the mirrored effect are really interesting – and for the things it took inspiration from. I’m obsessed with the blush, the highlighter and the nail polishes. Not so much with the eyeshadows since their colors are not really unique.

Personal thoughts: I give this collection a 8/10. It’s perfect for those who love neutral tones, all the products are high-quality and have great pigmentation. The nail polishes have awesome colors, the blush is gorgeous, the eyeshadows are good and the highlighter is interesting.

1)   China Doll Blush.
Packaging eccezionale, prodotto splendido per la realizzazione (fenomenale il disegno che divide blush e illuminante) e per la formulazione. Delicato l’effetto sul viso che, sia con i singoli prodotti sia con un mix dei due, dona un leggero blushing perfetto per un look naturale. Il prodotto immancabile nel beauty.

Great packaging, amazing product both for the design that divides the blush from the highlighter and for its formula. The result on the skin is light: you can use one product at a time or use them together and you will have a nice and natural blushing effect. Totally a must-have in your beauty bag.

2) China Doll Eyeshadow

Tutti gli ombretti si possono utilizzare sia bagnati che asciutti. A mio parere, però, la pigmentazione è così importante con l’effetto dry che non è necessario l’utilizzo da bagnato se non per amplificare i colori.
Ottima la tenuta, la versatilità e la sfumabilità, unica pecca, come già detto, le colorazioni poco originali e già presenti nella gamma del brand.

You can use all of them both wet and dry. But I think the color pay-off is already great when they are dry that you don’t actually need to use them wet unless you want to amplify the color; the only downside are the shades available, which are not unique and are already in their permanent line.

3) Pupa Volume China Doll

Quattro nuance completamente prive di brillantini e nuance opache che, però, conservano la loro proprietà idratante. L’effetto volumizzante è assolutamente naturale e poco vistoso quindi se l’obiettivo è quello di rimpolparle notevolmente non è il prodotto che cercate. A mio parere un effetto piacevole che, fra l’altro, si ottiene con rapidità.

Four colors that have no glitters but are still really moisturizing. The plumping effect is really natural, so if you are looking for something that can really make your lips fuller, this might not be for you. I think it’s a pretty effect that you can achieve really quickly.

4) Lasting Colors

Affidabilità e certezza sono gli aggettivi che, da sempre, affianco a questo prodotto. Collezione dopo collezione i lasting color migliorano sempre, garantendo facilità di stesura, durata e alta pigmentazione.
Le nuance più interessanti sono, a mio avviso, sono la 619, 629 e 732.

When I think about these products, I think about reliability and certainty. Collection after collection, the lasting colors keep getting better and better, ensuring an easy application, staying power and high pigmentation. In my opinion, the most beautiful shades are n.619, 629 and 732.

5) Luminys Touch Pearly Edition

Illuminante con microglitter che, grazie al pennello incorporato, permette una facile applicazione nelle zone desiderate. Buona la durata, non eccelsa, ma davvero adorabile l’effetto sul viso, specialmente nella stagione estiva. Non sono una fan dei glitter ma, con un velo d’abbronzatura, posso ammettere di non essere dispiaciuta dal risultato finale.

An highlighter with microglitter that is really easy to apply thanks to the built-in brush. Its lasting power is good, not great, but I really love the final result on the skin, especially for summer. I’m not a fan of glitter but, with a nice tan, I can honestly say I like the final result.
