Geek Style: Regalister, mai più un regalo sbagliato

A casa mia, in soggiorno, c’è un mobile che si articola in orizzontale sul muro opposto rispetto a dove si trovano le porte. Insomma, la prima, fra le quattro pareti, che si vede appena si entra nella stanza.

Questo è composto da quattro piccole ante e da altrettanti cassetti. Una di queste porticine contiene molti, molti oggetti. Quelli che a casa nostra vengono chiamati i regali tappa buchi. Cosa significa? Che sono tutti regali sbagliati, quei doni che, con noi, proprio non ci azzeccano nulla e che, impossibilitati ad essere cambiati con oggetti a noi più consoni, sono stati rilegati in quest’angolo con l’attesa di trovare un proprietario più adatto.

Sì, a casa mia si riciclano i regali e non è una novità. Ma sono sicura che, anche se non utilizzate questa pratica, di doni orribili ne sono arrivati nella vostra vita.

Ecco perché oggi vi parlo di Regalister, un’applicazione che consente, come suggerisce lo slogan, di non ricevere mai più il regalo sbagliato.

Il funzionamento è molto semplice: si accede tramite il proprio profilo di Facebook e s’interagisce grazie a quattro piccoli tasti che si trovano al fondo dello schermo. E’ possibile caricare foto di oggetti (l’ultimo a destra è il tasto dedicato a questa funzione) che desideriamo e aggiungere ad essi il prezzo, il colore e anche il negozio in cui trovarli nonostante, dettaglio non da poco, la foto venga automaticamente geolocalizzata.

Avendo in automatico tutti gli amici che fanno parte della community fra i Friends (la lista totale è visibile grazie al terzo tasto!), nella home è possibile visionare tutti i loro desideri per essere totalmente informati.

E’ possibile, inoltre, interagire con ogni foto sia in veste di utente personale che di amico: aggiungere un Like ad un oggetto, inserirlo nella nostra lista personale ma anche far sapere che si è già ricevuto o che si esaudiranno presto i desideri di un amico.

Lati negativi? E’ un po’ lento ad aprirsi e a rispondere, i crash avvengono un po’ troppo spesso!
Inoltre per ora è disponibile solo per iOS ma manca pochissimo all’uscita dell’app per Android!

At home, in my living room, there’s a piece of furniture that lies horizontally in front of the doors. I mean, it’s the first wall that you see as soon as you walk into the room.

This piece is made of four little doors and drawers. One of this doors contains lots, lots of objects. We call them the “stopgap” gifts. What does that mean? That they are all wrong gifts, those that are not suitable for us and that we couldn’t exchange. So they are now confined in this corner, waiting for a new owner.

Yes, we do recycle gifts, let’s face it.  But I’m sure that, even if you don’t do it yourself, you have received an awful gift once in your life too.

That’s why today I’m going to talk to you about Regalister, an app that allows you – as their slogan says – not to receive the wrong present ever again.

It’s really easy to use. You log in through Facebook and use four little buttons on the bottom of the screen. You can upload pics of the objects (you can use the button on the right to do it) and add the price, color and even the shop where you can get it – even if the picture is automatically geo-localized.

You can immediately see all the friends that belong to your community (you can see them thanks to the third button), while, in the home, you can go through their desires.

You can also interact with all the pics, both as a personal user and a friend: like an object, put it into your personal list and let other people know if you already have it or you want to give it to a friend.

The downsides? It’s a bit slow, it crashes way too often!
