Tutti la stavamo aspettando e finalmente eccola qui la proposta di M.a.c. Cosmetics per il settore BB Cream: il Prep+Prime Beauty Balm. In questa review vedremo la versione compatta, ma è disponibile anche in forma fluida.

We were all waiting for it, and it’s finally here: the M.a.c Cosmetics BB Cream called Prep+Prime Beauty Balm. In this review we are going to talk about the compact version, but you can find a liquid one as well.

• Info generali sul prodotto: Primer colorato che prepara la pelle, idrata, uniforma, illumina l’incarnato e aiuta il make-up a rimanere dove deve per tutta la giornata. 8 gr di prodotto al prezzo di 28€ in tutti gli store M.a.c. oppure online.
  General info about the product: a tinted primer that preps and hydrates the skin. It also evens out and brightens your skin tone, helping make up staying where you put it all day long. 8 grams of product for 28€ in all M.a.c stores or online.

• Primo impatto: il packaging è funzionale grazie alla spugnetta e allo specchietto presenti all’interno.
  Le ridotte dimensioni lo rendono comodo da avere sempre con sè. La texture del prodotto è setosa e sfumabile, la pigmentazione non è troppo elevata e permette la perfetta fusione con l’incarnato, rendendolo omogeneo e luminoso.
  First impression: the packaging is practical thanks to the sponge and the mirror you’ll find inside; and since it’s little, you can take it everywhere you go. The texture is silky and blendable, the pigmentation is not too high but blends with your natural skin tone, making it even brighter and better-looking.

• Lati positivi: Per prima cosa l’SPF 30, che a mio parere è ormai un aspetto fondamentale di qualsiasi base viso. Prevenire è meglio che curare e se vogliamo mantenere la nostra pelle giovane e sana non dobbiamo dimenticarci del fattore di protezione in qualsiasi periodo dell’anno. Il secondo aspetto positivo è la piccola quantità di prodotto necessaria per un buon risultato: personalmente prelevo un paio di volte la crema con la spugnetta e poi la vado a lavorare bene su tutto il viso, sfumando accuratamente.
  Pros: first of all, the SPF 30, which I think it’s a must in every face product. You have to prevent before curing, and if we want to keep our skin young and healthy, we need to put on some kind of SPF all year long. The second pro is that you only need a little bit of product to achieve a good result. I personally dip my sponge twice and then work the product all over my skin, blendind really well.

• Lati negativi: Purtroppo questa volta ho trovato un paio di cose che non mi convincono. La prima è che le tre colorazioni disponibili sono molto chiare (basti pensare che io uso la più scura disponibile e la mia carnagione è somigliante a quella di un fantasma). La seconda è che vista la formulazione molto cremosa, bisogna fissare necessariamente con un prodotto in polvere. Questi due fattori mi portano ad utilizzare un velo di fondotinta minerale che bilancia perfettamente la colorazione e fissa il tutto.
  Cons: unfortunately there are a few things I didn’t like about this product. All the shades are pretty light (I use the darkest one and I look like a ghost!). Then, since the formula is really creamy, you need to set it with powder. So I use some mineral foundation to make sure to balance the shade and fix it in place.

• Il mio voto è: 7. Questa volta mi tengo più bassa perchè per avere il meglio da questo prodotto occorre abbinarlo a degli altri. Io sono comunque molto soddisfatta della resa che hanno bb e fondo minerale insieme: un finish molto naturale, a lunga tenuta, coprente al punto giusto e luminoso. Non mi sento però di consigliarla per chi vuole utilizzare la bb come unico step al mattino, senza appesantire il viso con diversi prodotti.
  I give it a: 7/10. My grade is not that high because to have a perfect result, you need to pair this product with a couple more. I actually really like how a BB cream and a mineral foundation work together: a natural finish, it’s long-lasting and glowy. But I wouldn’t recommend it if you are looking for a one-step product to use in the morning just by itself.
