Fashion: Katie Grand loves Hogan

È oramai ufficiale: Katie Grand, la stilista britannica, disegna una capsule collection per Hogan. San Valentino è alle porte e mi sembrava doveroso scrivere di questa prestigiosa collaborazione all’insegna del rosa e dei cuoricini. La mini collezione si chiama Gang e il progetto nasce per stupire e rafforzare il legame tra Hogan e le sue addicted. D’altronde come non innamorarsi a prima vista delle linee reinterpretate dalla Grand?

Katie Grand, ideatrice e direttrice del magazine Love, dopo aver collaborato con Marc Jacobs, Luella Bartley e Giles Deacon, sperimenta la sua vocazione di stilista ancora una volta. E come sempre riesce a centrare il bersaglio, proprio come Cupido, al quale senza dubbio si è ispirata. “In colori vivaci e decorate con cuori, risultano estremamente pratiche”: così definisce le calzature della sua capsule la Grand. Ma le sneakers non sono le uniche a far parte di questa esclusiva collezione; accanto alle allacciate – quattro diversi modelli – possiamo trovare anche degli splendidi mocassini in stile Luigi XVI, una pochette in due diverse misure e infine degli occhiali da sole.

Andiamo alla scoperta di Gang! Iconici e mai fuori moda, ecco i modelli rivisitati per noi: Attractive, H194, Olympia e Interactive. Li possiamo trovare in diversi colori, dal fucsia al nero, dal bianco al multicolor, dal verde al blu elettrico. Sono realizzate in pelle e camoscio, gli inserti sono in rete e la H caratteristica è ricamata nella vernice, dietro ad ogni scarpa vi è un cuoricino in rilievo, che ritroviamo anche sulla linguetta. “Grinta”!: questo è ciò che urlano, bisogna ammetterlo.

It’s official: Katie Grand, the British designer, has come out with a capsule collection for Hogan. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and I had to talk about this collection, all about pink and hearts. It’s called Gang, and it was born to strenghten the relationship between Hogan and its addicted. How can you not fall in love with the designs made by Grand?

Katie Grand, creator and directress of the Love magazine, after collaborations with Marc Jacobs, Luella Bartley and Giles Deacon, comes back as a designer once again. And she did a great job, and she took inspiration from Cupid. “In bold colors and with a heart pattern, they are extremely comfortable”. This is what Grand said about the shoes. But the sneakers are not the only item in this collection. Besides these four models, we can also find great loafers (inspired by Louis XVI), a clutch in two different sizes, and sunglasses.

Let’s find out more about Gang! Iconic and always on style, here the models we chose: Attractive, H194, Olympia and Interactive. They are available in different colors, from fuchsia to black, from white to a multicolored one, from green to bright blue. They are made with leather and suede, while the inserts are netted and the iconic H is embroidered into the patent leather. On the back of each shoe and on the tab, there’s a small heart.  “Grit”!: that’s what they screams, we have to admit it.

Per le calzature bisogna parlare ancora del mocassino a pantofola, tanto in voga quest’anno! Realizzato in vernice, due colori si contrastano nei dettagli incantando gli spettatori. I colori che regnano sono il fucsia, il nero, il bianco e il navy. Il cuoricino caratteristico lo troviamo sulla punta, mentre sul tallone vi è disegnata l’H di Hogan.

Arriviamo quindi alle borsette, in due diverse misure riprendono i medesimi colori delle shoes, senza tuttavia annoiarci. Anch’esse in vernice, vantano profili a vista tinti a mano e interni in pelle a contrasto. Tasca portacellulare, tasca a soffietto, quattro vani porta carte e laccetto da polso (o tracolla staccabile nella versione maggiorata): ma cosa vogliamo di più? Perfette per un party! Gli ultimi accessori ridisegnati da Katie Grand sono gli occhiali da sole; differiscono nei colori (dal fucsia al multicolor) ma non nella forma: rotonda, retrò ed eccentrica.

Bisogna ammettere che questa volta la Grand ha superato se stessa. I colori audaci e brillanti sembrano voler sfidare i contrasti naturali della bella stagione, mentre i cuori ci riportano alla dolcezza di cui tutte le donne sono capaci. Romanticismo VS Temerarietà, un po’ per mettere d’accordo ognuna di noi. La collezione è già disponibile presso le boutique Hogan e sullo shop online ufficiale. As far as shoes, we need to mention slippers, so in this year! Made with patent leather, there are two colors that enchant you while looking at them. The most popular colors are fuchsia, black, white and navy. The little heart is on the tip, while on the back is the iconic H for Hogan.

Let’s talk about the bags, in two different sizes and with the same shades as the shoes. They are made with patent leather too, and have hand-dyed details. A pocket for your phone, four other pockets and a wrist band (or a shoulder belt for the bigger one); could we ask for more? They’re great for a party! Last but not least from Katie Grand, the sunglasses; they come in different color (from fuchsia to multicolor), but have all the same shape: curvy, retro and eccentric. 

We have to admit that this time Grand did an awesome job. The bold and vibrant colors seem to challenge the natural, spring shades; while the little hearts remind us of the sweetest side of us women.
