Tutti gli appassionati di moda, in questo momento, sono concentrati sulla Milano Fashion Week, ma voi sapevate che a Londra si è appena conclusa la prima London Plus-Size Fashion Week?
Personalmente trovo la Fashion Week coinvolgente, ma non quanto vorrei: le modelle che sfilano vestendo abiti che io non potrei indossare neppure pregando per un intervento divino!
Right now, all the fashion lovers are focused on the Milan Fashion Week, but did you know that in London the British Plus-Size Fashion Week just ended?
Personally, I think that Fashion Week is exciting, but not how much I want it to be: on the catwalks, the models wear clothes that I would never be able to wear, not even with a miracle!
Insomma, quando rivolgo la mia attenzione verso le passerelle spesso non vedo qualcosa che su di me potrebbe stare bene o una modella che mi rappresenti.
A questo punto potete immaginare quanto io mi sia sentita elettrizzata quando ho scoperto questo evento: finalmente una Fashion Week per le donne Curvy!
La manifestazione si è svolta il 15 e il 16 di febbraio, è stata creata da Remy Ray e aveva come obiettivo quello di “Migliorare, educare, responsabilizzare e sostenere le industrie inglesi del settore plus-size collegando i puntini tra i rivenditori, i designer e i consumatori”.
I mean, when I turn my eyes to the catwalks, I rarely see something that could look good on me or on a model that can represent me.
Now you can imagine how excited I was when I find out about this event: finally, a Fashion Week for Curvy women!
The event took place on February 15th and 16th, it was created by Remy Ray and its goal was “Enhancing, educating, empowering and supporting UK plus-size industry by connecting retailers, designers and consumers”.

E’ inutile dire che il programma è stato più che ricco: oltre alle sfilate, a cui hanno partecipato Simply Be, Curvissa e molti altri brand, hanno organizzato diversi meeting con i blogger, dei workshop, incontri con personaggi del mondo curvy e diversi altri intrattenimenti.

I don’t even need to say that the program was more than impressive: in addition to the fashion shows, which were attended by Simply Be, Curvissa, and many other brands, there had been several meetings with bloggers, workshops, meetings with celebrities from the curvy world and several other kind of entertainment.

In America non mancano le iniziative Curvy (Un esempio è il Full Fashion Figured Week di New York), infatti si sono ispirati proprio a loro per dare forma a questo evento.
Purtroppo sappiamo che in Italia le cose sono più complicate, ma mie care donne Curvy non mollate, forse le cose stanno cominciando a cambiare!
In the US, there are a lot of Curvy initiatives (for example, the Full Figured Fashion Week that takes place in New York). In fact, they created this event taking inspiration from other ones.
Unfortunately, we know that here in Italy things are more complicated, but my dear Curvy women, do not give up, maybe things are starting to change!
Io sono entusiasta e spero vivamente che, anche in Italia, possa essere organizzata una Plus-Size Fashion Week!
