People with oily skin often move towards powdery products, because they are the best kind of finish for their skin type. But it’s hard to decide on what to get, since this category is harder to apply and you need more attention to have a “perfect” result like creamy products give.

Here sometips and tricks on how to make powders work perfectly.

  • To get the right amount of product, don’t get it directly from the container, or you might end up looking like a “mummy“. Pour a little bit of powder onto the lid or a Kleenex, and you’ll definitely have the right quantity.
  • For those areas that need a bit more coverage, use the corner of a sponge to tap the product onto the most hidden areas of your face.
  • Cleaning your brushes, sponges and powder puffs is even more important when you’re using powders, since your skin’soils get onto the tools and can alter the finish during the next application.
  • To make these products last longer, you better keep the far from humidity and hot weather – so take them out of the bathroom!
  • For a flawless but lightweight coverage, tap your face with a kleenex before putting on any product. This step will get rid of the excess oils on your skin, making your makeup application a lot easier. You will also need a lot less product!
  • To build up the coverage, keep in mind that a brush gives a light one, a sponge gives a great coverage buy only on small areas; and last but not least, a powder puff is the best for a matte finish.

Now you have to keep your face matte and use more powders!!
