Vi starete sicuramente chiedendo chi sono gli #EarthDefenders: beh, sono le persone che ogni giorno lavorano la terra in Africa e che quest’anno sono stati celerai nel Calendario Lavazza 2015 firmato da Steve McCurry.
Mese dopo mese, attraverso la realizzazione di foto dall’estrema bellezza, è stata raccontata la vita di uomini e donne intenti a compiere il loro lavoro agricolo: 12 scatti che vi conquisteranno per la loro grande emotività.
Il ricavato andrà a sostegno dell’iniziativa 10.000 orti in Africa di Slow Food: per la prima volta, infatti, il calendario è in vendita al prezzo di 30 € e si tratta di un’edizione limitata.
Qual è l’obiettivo? Semplice: realizzare 10.000 orti all’interno di villaggi e scuole africane.
Questo aiuterà a sostenere la comunità garantendo loro cibo ma, nel contempo, fornire alle persone la consapevolezza del proprio lavoro, della propria cultura e della propria terra.

I’m sure you are wondering who #EarthDefenders are: well, they are those people who work in Africa every single day, and who have been celebrated in this year’s 2015 Lavazza Calendar, made by Steve McCurry.
Month after month, through beautiful pictures, he tells us the life of extremely beautiful men and women while they are working the soil: 12 shots you’ll soon fall in love with.
All the proceeds will be donated to the di Slow Food foundation: for the first time, the calendar will be sold for 30 €, and will be a limited edition.
What’s the aim? Easy: realizing 10.000 vegetable gardens inside small towns and African schools.
This will help the community getting them food, but also making them more aware of their culture and their lands.
