Beauty: Velvet Manicure by Ciatè

I mesi più caldi dell’anno sono finiti da pochissimo. E sicuramente qualcuna di voi starà ancora sfoggiando una manicure in perfetto stile “summer time”: colori neon, tinte pastello, glitter che brillano al sole o, perché no, unghie al naturale per dare loro un po’ di respiro. Ma, inutile negarlo, la stagione autunno/inverno è alle porte; e chi tra noi beauty addicted vuole farsi trovare impreparata? Qui su Miss Pandamonium non si perde tempo, perciò oggi si parlerà della già tanto chiacchierata Velvet Manicure. 

Lanciata da poco sul mercato dal famosissimo brand inglese Ciatè, sarà acquistabile in esclusiva in Italia solo su QVC.it. Dopo l’effetto graffiti, cracking e la ben più nota Caviar Manicure, per quest’autunno Ciatè punta tutto sulle “unghie pelose”, perfette per un clima più freddo e da abbinare, perché no, ad un cardigan o un accessorio coordinato.

La Direttrice Creativa di Ciatè, Charlotte Knight, ha preso ispirazione da tessuti lussuriosi e finish particolari, per arrivare ad ottenere un risultato sofisticato e allo stesso tempo esuberante. In una sola parola: unico!

The hottest months of the year have just ended. And I’m sure there are still some of you who are sporting a “summer time” manicure: neon colors, pastels, glitters that sparkle under the sunlight or, why not, a natural look to let them breathe a bit. But we can’t deny that the fall/winter months are just around the corner. And which beauty addicted would like to be unprepared? Here on Miss Pandamonium we don’t like to waste time, so today we are going to talk about the already famous Velvet Manicure.

Recently launched on the market by the well-known English brand Ciatè, it will be available in Italy only on QVC.it. After the graffiti effect, the cracking one and the much better known Caviar Manicure, for this fall Ciatè focuses on “furry nails”, perfect for the colder months and to match, why not, to a cardigan or an accessory.

The Ciatè’s Creative Director Charlotte Knight took inspiration from luxurious textures and peculiar finishes, to achieve a sophisticate and exuberant result at the same time. With just one word: unique!

I colori disponibili saranno:

• Berry Poncho, un bordeaux con riflessi viola molto intensi;
• Blue Suede, un blu notte molto scuro;
• Mink Cashmere, un grigio chiaro con sottotono beige.

Il prezzo del kit è di 19 $ ed è composto da una boccetta di smalto da 13,5 ml, una confezione di pigmenti vellutati dello stesso colore e un piccolo pennello. L’applicazione è molto semplice: basterà stendere uno strato di smalto sull’unghia (mi raccomando, una alla volta!) e poi ricoprirla di uno strato generoso di pigmenti. Con l’aiuto del pennellino potrete eliminare l’eccesso – salvandolo per l’applicazione successiva – …et voilà! Le unghie vellutate sono pronte! Non avrete nemmeno bisogno di un top coat, grazie all’effetto 3D di questo kit.

Per ora Ciatè è l’unico brand ad aver proposto questa manicure innovativa, ed  il kit è disponibile solo in questi 3 colori. Ma basterà aspettare qualche mese e le altre case cosmetiche correranno ai ripari! Quindi, occhi aperti per eventuali dupes!

The available colors will be:

• Berry Poncho, a burgundy color with purple undertones; 
• Blue Suede, a dark night blue;
• Mink Cashmere, a light grey with beige undertones.

The price of the kit is 19 $ and it is made of a 13,5 ml nail polish bottle, a package of crushed velvet pigments in the same shade and a small brush. The application is really simple: you will only need to apply the color on your nail (one at the time, be careful!) and then cover it with lots of crashed velvet pigments. Using the brush, you will be able to get rid of the excess pigments and keep them for the next time. Et voila! Your velvet manicure is ready! You won’t even need a top coat thanks to the 3D effect.

Right now, Ciatè is the only brand that has come out with this brand new manicure, and the kit is available in just three colors. But you will only need to wait a couple months and the other brands will run for cover! So, watch out for some dupes!
