Youngblood è un marchio americano (per la precisione Californiano) che è sbarcato da poco in Italia.
Ecco quindi la mia prima esperienza e la review di tre prodotti:

Youngblood is an American brand (actually, they are from California) that is now available in Italy.
So, here’s my experience and the review of three different products:
– Large Kabuki Brush
– Natural Mineral Foundation
– Mineral Primer
- Info generali sul prodotto: Large Kabuki Brush è un pennello realizzato in setole di capra che lo rendono perfetto per l’applicazione di prodotti minerali. Prezzo: 36 € (48 $)
General info about the product: Large Kabuki Brush is made of goat hair, and it’s perfect to apply mineral products. Price: 36 € (48 $).
- Primo impatto: Setole di colore nero che, pur essendo molto compatte alla radice, si aprono sufficientemente verso regalando una piacevole morbidezza al tatto. Il corpo del pennello è di legno nero e presenta il nome del marchio in bianco in centro. La forma è perfettamente smussata con una scalatura precisa delle setole, dettaglio visibile in modo netto.
First impression: Black bristles that are really compact at the root but really soft on the skin. The handle is made of black wood and has the white brand name imprinted on it. The shape is perfectly blunt and the hair is perfectly layered, as you can see in the picture.
- Lati positivi: L’applicazione del prodotto è molto gradevole proprio per la sua morbidezza. Il pennello sfuma facilmente il prodotto sia che questo venga utilizzato bagnato che asciutto. Sia al primo che agli altri lavaggi, non ha perso peli.
Pros: The application of any product is really pleasant thanks to the softness of the brush. It blends the foundation both when dry or wet. It didn’t shed.
- Lati negativi: Nessuno.
Cons: Nothing.
- Il mio voto è: 9. Se non siete ancora in possesso di un kabuki brush vi consiglio questo perché l’ho trovato un ottimo prodotto. E’ fantastico anche per applicare i blush minerali.
I give it a: 9/10. If you don’t already have a kabuki brush, I would recommend you this one, I think it’s perfect. It’s great with mineral blushes as well.
- Info generali sul prodotto: Natural mineral Loose Foundation, fondotinta minerale dall’effetto naturale. La sua formulazione permette in un solo gesto di avere una copertura ottimale ed effetto luminoso sul viso. Disponibile in 16 differenti tonalità, divise fra light, medium, tan e dark, contiene 10 g di prodotto e ha una durata di 24 mesi dall’apertura. Prezzo: 32 € (42 $).
General info about the product: Natural mineral Loose Foundation. Its formula allows you to have both a good coverage and a glowy effect on the skin. 16 available shades, organized in light, medium, tan and dark. It has 10 grams of product and lasts 24 months. Price: 32 € (42 $).
- Primo impatto: Packaging essenziale, corpo trasparente, che mostra immediatamente la colorazione del prodotto e tappo nero lucido con sopra impresso il logo del brand. Sul retro un’etichetta nera che riposta il nome del prodotto, la colorazione scelta, indicazioni su quantità e durata del fondotinta e, infine, dove è stato prodotto. Appena aperto, ci si ritrova davanti uno strato di plastica semi trasparente con 12 fori per l’uscita del prodotto.
First impression: essential packaging, with a clear body that makes you see the color of the product; black lid with the brand name imprinted on it. On the back, a label with the name of the product, the quantity, the lasting power of the foundation and where it’s made. As soon as you open it, you can see a clear lid with 12 holes to make the product come out.
- Lati positivi: Il prodotto è estremamente leggero e, proprio per questo motivo, è un piacere indossarlo. Ho notato che anche da asciutto regala immediatamente una copertura più alta rispetto ai suoi concorrenti, fattore che, avendo una pelle che spesso ha bisogno di essere uniformata sul colore, non può che essere positivo. Da bagnato, naturalmente, aumenta le sue prestazioni.
Pros: The product is really light and nice to wear. I noticed that, if you use it dry, it has a higher coverage than its competitors, and I really appreciate it because my skin needs this kind of coverage. When you use it wet, of course, it’s even better.
- Lati negativi: Quando si usa bagnato tende ad asciugarsi un po’ in fretta quindi sbrigatevi nella sfumatura!
Cons: when it’s wet, it tends to dry pretty quickly, so you need to hurry up when blending!
- Il mio voto è: 8. Credo che per la prima volta nella mia vita, preferisco utilizzare un prodotto di questa tipologia da asciutto piuttosto che con l’aiuto di acqua termale. Insomma, è perfetto sia per chi non ha bisogno di troppa copertura sia per chi la necessita! Buon compromesso.
I give it a: 8/10. For the first time in my life, I think I like using a mineral foundation better without wetting it. I mean, it’s great both if you want a high coverage or a low one! The best of both worlds.
- Info generali sul prodotto: Mineral Primer, il perfetto aiutante del fondotinta che è in grado di aumentarne le prestazioni e la durata con una sola applicazione. Setoso e confortevole, leviga e attenua i pori creando una base perfetta su cui lavorare. Al suo interno sono presenti minerali e vitamine per nutrire la pelle e proteggerla dai danni. Questo è un sample ma il prodotto contiene 10 g. Prezzo: 31 € (41 $).
General info about the product: Mineral Primer, a great ally to make your foundation last longer and work better with just one application. Silky and comfortable on the skin, it evens out any imperfection or large pore, creating a blank canvas to work with. It contains minerals and vitamins that moisturize the skin and protect it from damages. This is a sample, but the product contains 10 grams. Price: 31 € (41 $).
- Primo impatto: Pure essendo un campioncino, il packaging del prodotto non si allontana molto da quello “vero”. Tappo nero, corpo in plastica trasparente con logo e nome del prodotto.
First impression: even if this is just a sample, the packaging is pretty similar to the one in full size. Black lid, clear plastic body with the logo and name of the product on it.
- Lati positivi: Gradevole al tatto e durante l’applicazione è un prodotto che fa quello che promette. La pelle, infatti, risulta liscia, compatta e levigata. Aiuta notevolmente il fondotinta durante la giornata.
Pros: it’s smooth and it does what it promises. Your skin will be soft, compact and evened out. It helps the foundation last all day.
- Lati negativi: Peccato non aiuti molto a contrastare l’effetto lucido della zona T, sarebbe stato perfetto!
Cons: Unfortunately, it doesn’t help mattifying my T-zone, that would have been awesome!
- Il mio voto è: 7. E’ un buon primer ma solitamente preferisco quelli che, oltre a levigare, aiutino anche a opacizzare la pelle.
I give it a: 7/10. It’s a good primer but I prefer those ones that help you with the t-zone area as well.
