Mercoledì scorso sono andata al press day organizzato da Larusmiani dove, insieme a Susy, abbiamo scoperto la collezione s/s ’12 del brand nato nel 1922.

Se siete abituati ad una linea seria e adatta alle signore, per questa stagione rimarrete a bocca aperta: dietro ad ogni capo c’è un nuovo team di giovani designer (only fra i 25-35 anni!) che sono partiti dalle classiche linee di Larusmiani ma le hanno rivisitate in chiave moderna.

Last Wednesday I had the opportunity to go to a press day organized by Larusmiani (brand born in 1922) where, together with Susy, we discovered the s/s ’12 collection.

If you’re used to lady-like clothes, you’ll be amazed this season: behind every piece there are young designers (between 25-35 years old!), which started from Larusmiani classic elements to revisit them in a more modern way.

Ciò che caratterizza questa collezione sono i materiali e i colori in contrasto, le lavorazioni in pelle curate nei minimi dettagli, i richiami metropolitani, che rendono i look adatti sia alle occasioni formali che non, le ispirazioni a grandi maison (come Chanel) per i tagli netti e i tessuti utilizzati e, infine, le cuciture a vista, rigorosamente fatte a mano, che smorzano la serietà dei capi.

Grande uso del color cammello in opposizione al bordeaux ma anche il nero in coppia con il blu: i risultati sono davvero piacevoli da guardare e da indossare. I materiali prediletti? Cashmere, seta e, come già detto precedentemente, pelle, che spesso vengono anche mixati per una lavorazione che ti conquisterà.

What stand out from this collection are the materials and contrasting colors, manufactoring leathers with a particular attention on the details, metropolitan elements (that are perfect for both formal and informal occasions), inspirations from famous brands (like Chanel) for neat cuts and the materials used; and last but not least, hand-made exposed seams, that dampen the seriousness of the clothes.

Nude colors are used a lot, especially against burgundy; but we can also find black paired with blue, and the results are great to see and wear. The most-used materials? Cashmere, silk and, as I said before, leather; some of them are often mixed together, to create a brand new effect.

Non solo vestiario ma anche tantissimi accessori: partendo dalle scarpe i tacchi a banana sono protagonisti della collezione e, benché siano altissimi, sono resi portabili dal grande aiuto del plateaux anch’esso di degna importanza. Deliziosi anche tronchetti, zeppe e stivali da pioggia accuratamente lavorati.

In ambito borse, invece, fantastici i modelli in pelle proposti in differenti grandezze, sono adatte a tutti i giorni o ad un weekend fuori porta. Anche qui non potevano mancare le clutch che sono disponibili sia in tinta unita che in pitone.

Besides clothes, there are also lots of accessories: starting from shoes, the “banana-heel” is the focus of the collection; even if they’re super high, they’re comfy to wear thanks to the important plateaux. There are also cute booties, wedges and rain boots.

Talking about bags, there are lots of leather ones, with different sizes, which are perfect for everyday life but also for a weekend out or a sleepover. And, finally, clutches, available both in solid colors and with snake print.
